If I had thoughts of getting this done under 2 weeks, well…… 🤣
Since yesterday we are on two Insulin shots a day. We settled on 7:30 am and 7:30 pm as the best times right now. Still same dose of 1.5 units on a 0.5 ml syringe.

As it was the first evening shot, we took a reading at 10 pm, than 2 am and 7 am, just before his first shot of the day. Slightly tiered today, what to do?!
The results are still a bit too high, so we need to get him on a more scheduled feeding time, to help stabilize the Glucose levels.
We are fine tuning new diet ideas for his kidneys with some he likes already. He is still obsessed with hard food and when his brother Cheeku gets some in the morning he is struggling a bit.
We did receive some special renal diet items, wet & dry, from a vet friend of ours, who’s clients cat passed on at 14 years after having had kidney disease. Researching if it will fit in with Obi’s diabetes!
I feel strongly about staying away from dry food as much as possible, besides giving it as a small treat, but keeping an open mind for things that DO might work.
