Our little family, 2 humans – 2 cats
Both cats are boys and as I always hoped it would be like…..they found us! Both are rescues found in different areas of Nairobi.

Cheeku & Obi
- Cheeku, 7 years on July 15, 2019, domestic short hair/tabby with unique fur patterns – we think he is at heart partially a wild cat!
- Obi, 6 years on September 15, 2019, domestic short hair/white with tan spots and his fur is a bit longer than usual.
Cheeku cried his little heart out at a neighbors compound and it broke Our hearts, so we decided to go over with some milk. The keeper looked at us, said ‘wait a minute’ and next thing we know he came back with the little boy, stuck him through the gate and said, ‘you take him’. Famous last word and the rest is history. He was about 3 months at the time. He moved with us to a new home with a nice garden and has been a classy, always on the lookout for any kind of danger, boy who grew into a brilliant wonderful gentleman!
Obi was found in my friends garden and brought to her clinic, she is a vet, and I found him there sitting in one of the kennels and looking very sorry for himself and hiding in the corner. He was also about 3 months old but very thin and we are sure he was abused….his little whiskers were all gone and his tummy was swollen and he needed a lot of TLC right from the beginning. He grew into the most cuddly loving handsome guy he is today.

Both have learned to care and love each other and often hang out in the garden together, chasing each other around and usually sleep in the same area, although cuddling with each other is not so much their thing.
Besides hoping to hear from you with tips and your experiences, we love to connect with like-minded people. One can never have enough animal loving friends! 🙂
